Paediatric physiotherapy is a specialised area of physical therapy that focuses on enhancing the development and well-being of children.
At Bright Beginnings Physiotherapy, we are dedicated to provide top-notch care to young people aged 0-18 years.
We specialise in a range of conditions including birth injuries, developmental delays, neurological issues, balance and coordination difficulties, low muscle tone, hypermobility, and musculoskeletal problems.

One of the key goals of paediatric physiotherapy is to help children reach their full potential by addressing physical challenges that may be hindering their development.
This is achieved through a variety of techniques including:
Hands on physiotherapy to facilitate movement patterns and improve symptoms e.g. weakness and stiffness.
Neurological physiotherapy techniques - we use a combination of functional and Bobath techniques to support a child's development. We firmly believe that one technique does not suit every child.
Physiotherapy through play. This is the most fun part about being a paediatric physiotherapist and hugely improves the child's engagement and enjoyment within sessions! Children can work on important skills such as motor planning, balance, and strength without even realising they are engaging in physiotherapy.
Gait rehabilitation for children that are struggling with their walking. Advice can be offered about appropriate orthotic devices.
Tailored exercise programmes to support the child's development and learning abilities.
Education! Often overlooked but it is massively important in helping a child and their family understand and manage their condition.
Goal setting between the child and family to help focus and improve motivation.
